3. Parental Consent โ All Minors Under 18
Noku.ai serves Kโ12 students. Because every user under 18 is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms and create the account on the child's behalf. By agreeing below, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child you are setting up, and you provide consent for that child to use the App.
For children under age 13, this consent also satisfies the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which requires verifiable parental consent before any personal information is collected from a child under 13.
4. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Parent's Google account email and display name (login only)
- Child's first name and grade level (entered by parent)
- Practice session data: scores, worksheet results, and progress records
We do NOT collect Social Security numbers, physical addresses, phone numbers, geolocation data, photos, videos, audio, or any information directly from children.
5. How We Use Information
Information is used solely to display your child's learning progress and track practice activity within the App. We do NOT sell, rent, or share data with third parties, and we do not use data for advertising or marketing.
Data is stored securely using Google Firebase with industry-standard encryption in the United States.
6. Your Rights as a Parent
You may at any time: review data collected about your child, request correction or deletion of your child's data, or withdraw consent entirely. Contact nachu@noku.ai โ we will respond within 30 days.
